bodily fluids in the dark for a couple of days. NOT GOOD.

Apparently airborne generally means contagious from at least 6 feet.
However, droplets from coughing and sneezing aren't considered to be "airborne" if less than around 6 feet.

Ebola can spread by airborne droplets. It cannot spread by aerosol (weightless specks that float around rooms on air currents), in part because it can't handle drying, and in part because it's too big (IIRC).
