Great idea for a new hobby - stop arguing with Republicans, teach pigs to sing, instead.

I can already see my republican friends turning red because they didn't know half of that. They worship Reagan like a god when in fact Reagan would have been a liberal in today's political community. Kind of demonstrates our hug shift to the right doesn't it?

they're so brainwashed, they won't believe you.

Some are truly stupid, some are willfully stupid (holding fast to their beliefs no matter the contrary evidence), and most are hopeless cases!

I save my breath and my blood pressure now and simply ignore them. The USA is Rome now with Visigoths are just over the horizon.

yes, blood pressure can rise when dealing with the futile task of dealing with repuke ignorance. So I spare myself the grief.

I like to be around ignorant people, and when they (rarely) aren't ignorant, I like to test my beliefs to see if they make sense.

I can't stand ignorance, especially willful ignorance. And, I really despise it when people slurp up crap without even bothering to question it's veracity, let alone do their homework and check the facts themselves.

Some guy at the bar, very representative of the populace here:

Obama on TeeVee speaking....
Patron:" yeah, we need to re-elect that idiot."
Me: "No, we need mittens to represent us."
No more said...

Sadly, to me, I have to vote with my nose held and hope for some Progressive legislation during the "lame duck" term....

This is not Democracy.

I could throw up every time I hear the term "god-particle". It's the "Higgs-boson" goddammit! Just because some lame-ass journalist made up a word, religion and science are now getting intermixed where they shouldn't be.

and whenever I bring up any of those, my co-worker's response is always, "nuh-uh."

In fact, I've also been informed that the revolutionary war was NOT the American colonies revolting against British rule, it was the United States, led by the conservative "Founding Fathers" stopping an invasion by the British.

To put it most discreetly, these people are all idiots who don't have even a semblance of a clue.
