Inhofe "already working" on taking over Senate committee
Now if this isn't a scary thought I don't know what is.
U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe lined up more ducks for the next Congress with a news conference Thursday morning featuring U.S. Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx and highlighting the states oldest section of the Interstate Highway System.
Inhofe clearly expects to be re-elected in November and become chairman of the Senate committee that oversees the nations highways in January, when a new Congress convenes with what Inhofe believes will be a Republican majority in the Senate.
I am, Inhofe said when asked if he is getting his ducks in a row to return as chairman of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee. Im already working on it.
State officials generally praise Inhofe for his assistance on highway projects, but his Democratic opponent, Matt Silverstein, says the condition of the states roads suggest Inhofe has not been as effective as he claims.
