FLORIDA-Gov debate sponsor with ties to Scott ALTERED debate rules to hurt Crist

Marc Caputo ✔ @MarcACaputo

So a debate sponsor with ties to the FL Chamber, which backs Rick Scott, changed debate rules to specifically exclude Crist's fan. Hmmmmm

So the Scott ploy included the collusion of the debate sponsors themselves. This is downright Nixonian.

And it explains this press release issued by the debate sponsors this morning.

5:29 PM PT: So the gameplan was to have the debate cancelled: "Scott's advisers urged Wendy Walker of Leadership Florida and Dean Ridings of the Florida Press Association to end the debate before it started."

Of course the ironic thing is CNN did this for Scott for free, they banned fans for next week's debate. What hacks.

No matter who wins. This is the hardest vote I ever had to do. Is blank acceptable? Don't tell me that Crist is great just because he magically has a "D" after his name. Does anybody remember his 4 years as Governor? We they awesome?

2. So you will not vote because Crist was not awesome enough....mini-Hitler Scott not horrible enough?

Erroneous thinking. False logic.

Scott caused a stink about his previous opponent breaking debate rules, too. People talked about that instead of his awful record and back ground. This fan episode is just "deja vu all over again." I hope the people of Florida wake up to his bullshit, but I don't have much faith that they will.

You know how low things have sunk in Florida when you find yourself rooting for a dirt bag like Charlie Crist. Yuk.

No one gets off the hook, both candidates, the moderators, those who installed the fan, those who objected to the fan. Disgusting. All the way around typical Republican behavior.

They game the system where they can, and where they can't game it, they lie and cheat.

No one is held accountable for their devious actions. Instead, they probably get a free drink at the 19th hole.

But my biggest concern are the bonds he has with political lawyers on both sides of the aisle.

Let me put it bluntly. There is no such thing as an ethical AND political answer from a lawyer. You can't have both in an opinion. Opinions should be legal and decisive when you're representing a client. But lawyers in Central Florida tend to be wishy-washy. And the reason is not reassuring. They don't want public, legal opinions encroaching upon their private clients. So we live in a world that gives too much wiggle room to elected officials who have not shown they have ethical censors.

It sucks, because we can't depend on any of them to do the right thing.

who has voted conservatively Republican for the 30+ years I've known her, said "Well that was the dumbest cry-baby thing I ever saw. I'm sure not voting for Rick Scott now".

Not sure if she'll vote Crist but a half a victory is better than none.

Not that Crist is a victory but as said above, mini-hitler Voldemort is way worse.
