Brad Ashford called on Lee Terry to pull from the air a new television ad that tries to link Ashford to terrorist beheadings, blasting it as shameful fear-mongering by the GOP congressman.

The Terry campaign defended the ad and criticized Ashford’s response to it as deceitful.

The latest ad builds on others from Terry’s re-election campaign that have criticized Ashford on crime, now suggesting that the Democrat wouldn’t protect Americans from terrorists.
