The numerous giant color-filled card stock Cory Gardner ads which overfill my mailbox almost everyday.

(111,261 posts)but my 21 year old cat no longer uses the litter box. I have her favorite spots covered with puppy training pads and she's really good about using them once I'd trained her to it with a combination of Feliway and praise.
Old age is hell.

(81,267 posts)And bobby shriver cards. On his watch, Santa Monica has been totally fucked. It's so obscenely congested, overdeveloped, overcrowded, and utterly screwed that you can barely get across town anymore. It's just a MESS! The traffic, the parking snarls, the one-way streets, bus and bike lanes that are poorly marked, bicycle-riders taking advantage, crowds of pedestrians, traffic signals not coordinated, and building building building. bobby shriver never saw a developer he didn't LOVE-LOVE-LOVE. And the rest of us are thus forced to live with, and cope with, the ridiculously crowded and congested conditions that we're now suck with. This is an "improvement" in the quality of life????? WTF???? It happened on his watch, as a Santa Monica City Councilman and then Mayor.
If he gets in, heaven forbid the entire 3rd district will be at risk of becoming overdeveloped and overcrowded. Hell, we've got vacancy signs in store fronts AND office space - ALL OVER THE WESTSIDE!!!! You drive down any of the major commercial-district boulevards leading east from the ocean inward, and you see it all over the place. WHY aren't we making use of all that empty office and retail space that we ALREADY HAVE?????? WHY is the answer always just to build MORE?
Santa Monica used to be a quiet, quaint little seaside community. Now it might as well be midtown Manhattan. I try not to go there anymore - if I can possibly avoid it. It's just no fun anymore, having to deal with all the traffic and congestion and overcrowding. I have low blood pressure and value it greatly! Trying to drive or otherwise make my way through Santa Monica would be a perfect way to kiss that low blood pressure goodbye.
I'm voting for Sheila Kuehl.
