If the GOP takes the Senate it seems to me that it will hurt the next Dem Prez candidate.

We will see loads of bills thrown on Obama's desk that he will have to veto.

Then we will start hearing that the Congress is finally working but the Democratic president alone, is the problem. We will learn that once we get a hard working Republican in the White House the government will start functioning properly again.

This won't hurt Republican future candidates because since no laws will be passed, the public's personal situations won't be any worse off than today so they will have no reason to turn on the GOP and throw them out. It's only when the conservative philosophy is successfully implemented that people will see what a hell it makes of their lives and have second thoughts. But there will be plenty of firepower to throw at Democratic candidates and particularly the next Dem presidential candidate.

The way things are going with SCOTUS and the conservative states I don't see how we can avoid total Republican coup in the coming years unless Dems can hold onto the Senate which seems unlikely at the moment.

will show the public their true colors by trying to push through a bunch of insane bills and PROVE how really nuts they are.
Can you just imagine seeing things pass both houses like, cutting or eliminating SS, unemployment, possibly eliminating the minimum wage all together, making birth control & abortion illegal.....and on and on.

These are all things the vocal RW have been crying for, but if that kind of BS actually is passed, Obama will be viewed as a hero and a Pub prez won't have a chance of getting elected!

The reasons they were killed will be withheld by the right wing media unless they can spin it so the bills sound reasonable. Most people don't know or care what's in bills anyway. They will just hear the overall summary.
They will hear, "Obama killed 300 bills including a bill containing (good thing) So and so senator said,"it's incredible how he can deny (good thing) to the people of America."

The first order of business will be tax cuts for everybody. When Obama vetos that, he's finished. If he signs it, America is finished.

The second order of business will be doubling the defense budget. That's what Romney promised. Anyone opposing that will be called traitors.

Excuse me for being doom and gloom here, But I'm not saying anything new.

23 repub seats are up for grabs and only 10 dem seats, 1 undetermined in SC. Any gains they make this year will likely be wiped out in '16. That's why they want to take it this year so bad.

They screw us every which way they can. When the bastards are out of power they're scheming on how to get back in power so they can screw us some more. No redeeming value in a republiCON.
Seriously though all they ever do is scheme on how to destroy the democratic President. They could care less about you and I
