If Hispanics Sit Out Midterms Because Of Immigration Delay They Are Committing Political Suicide.

The word is that Hispanics may sit out midterms. That idea is completely screwball. And if the GOPPERS get control Hispanics are really screwed. Obama's delay on immigration may be questionable but it looks like he had little choice in this election.

We all know that Hispanics will be completely trashed with the GOP in power. And we know they would deport every single undocumented worker they can find. And we know that there will be no immigration reform of any kind with them in power.

Hispanics better give Obama the benefit of the doubt on this one. There really is very little option. Even though Obama's immigration policies have not been as good as they should be, I do believe his hand has been forced to some extent by the media and the GOP.

Given power the Democrats are more likely to do the right thing. GOPPERS never will and in fact will be extremely radical because they are primarily a theocratic white supremacist misogynistic even pro slavery party today. We simply have to take these tea publicans at their word.

I live is a fairly heavily Hispanic populated California community, and it is overwhelmingly Democratic. What's more, it's growing exponentially as the younger informed generations enter the voting rolls; they know the score.

They are Catholic, don't believe in abortion, neither do they approve of gay marriage. Their big agreement with the Democratic party is immigration. And if the Democrats chose to "ignore" them on that there is no point in them supporting Democrats because they are screwed either way.

A lot of the "small bidnessmen" who make up quite a bit of the Republican base depend on undocumented aliens for their workforce and big business, another Republican constituency, depends on undocumenteds to help keep wages down by keeping the legal workers scared fro their jobs.

The Republicans will make a lot of noise and raise a lot of hell and in the end may pass something that kind of looks like it's cracking down on undocumenteds but won't actually do much.

the things that are important to them. If the president has to "wait until after the midterms to (maybe) support reform", maybe they'll wait until then to get excited about him and the party. I personally think that after the midterms, the president will again adopt yet another republican position on this issue.
