Once again, just before an important election, Monica Lewinsky appears on the scene. Just a coincidence? Think again.
This is not about Monica Lewinsky - this is about Bill and Hillary Clinton. The Clintons are very involved in this election. They have traveled all over to help Democratic candidates.
What better way for Repubs to counter this than to bring out Monica Lewinsky? Remind voters of the scandal and the blue dress. At the same time, a shot over the bow of any Hillary plans for 2016.
As FDR said, "in politics, nothing happens by accident".
