WASHINGTON -- If Georgia voters are looking for someone to cool the partisan rancor in Washington, Republican Senate candidate David Perdue served notice Sunday night that hes not their man.
Hes more interested in attacking the other side, he said in a debate with Democratic contender Michelle Nunn and Libertarian candidate Amanda Swafford.
Perdue's admission was sparked in a portion of the debate in which candidates asked each other questions. Nunn asked what the others would do to end gridlock and dysfunction in Washington, and in the process accused Perdue of having no interest of working with members of the other party and perpetuating partisan gridlock.
I just dont believe that its one party or the other. I think it has to be both sides coming together, Nunn said. I think that we do have a very clear contrast in terms of how we see breaking through that dysfunction. I dont think its about prosecuting the other party; I think its about problem-solving.

(96 posts)Is it Michelle Nunn's assumption that David Perdue wants to "prosecute Democrats" as he named only one Democrat, The President, in response to her comment at the debate?
I disagree, Perdue answered. When you have a failed presidency, you have to prosecute it," he said.
Has he made comments on it in the past that I'm not aware of or is he just dropping the sentiment of impeachment? Let me know otherwise I'll chalk this up to a misleading article headline.

(45,806 posts)there ARE A COUPLE OF GREAT ADS AGAINST Perdue on TV A LOT! One has former employees of the Co. he "bought" and sold 7 months later. He laid all the employees of and moved the operation to China. They do a good job telling how "he left with millions and left them holding the bag and it was empty" Another add states "correctly" that most of his business life he spent outsourcing jobs and "He's proud of doing that!" The quote was confirmed by CBS and several other news agencies.
I'm hoping that will be enough to turn people against him.
Jason Carter is also doing a good job against Deal. "He came into office with very little money, but after four years he's a millionaire. Where did he get his money? He sold his salvage yard and reaped $3 million, but the company that bought it owes Georgia $2.7 million!"
I like it that all the ads the Dems are running against their Pub opponents are pretty cutting, but all are proven to be factual. The Pub ads are ALL LIES, and that's been proven too!
Just over a week to go, I hope I'm proven right and we finally see these damn Pub crooks thrown out!
