Quinn has 49.5% to Rauner’s 44.8% while Libertarian Chad Grimm grabs 5.6%, according to the poll that subscribers to our paid e-newsletter, The Insider, received on Friday morning at 6:00 a.m. (Subscribe to The Insider here).

With just days before Election Day, the poll, which sampled 2,327 voters, of which 21% were from cell phones, over two nights (October 27-28), had a +/- 3% margin of error and allowed no “undecided” option, forcing voters to make a choice.

The poll’s party ID response showed: Republican, 27.45%; Democratic, 39.77%; Independent, 32.78%.

The survey has Quinn clobbering Rauner among women 54.9-39.7%. Rauner is leading Quinn with men 52.8-41.1%

So we hold IL , lose MA(thanks for nothing Martha ) , lose AR, hold CT, pickup FL, pickup KS , pickup ME , hold Maryland and RI , and pickup Alaska by way of I , so we get net plus 2 or 3 ? Is that right ?

I am hoping IL voters aren't stupid enough to throw their support to that lying scumbag, Rauner.

Straight Dem for me. But if I were in Mike Madigan's district, definitely 3rd Party.

I have a few young cousins (mid 20s to mid 30s) voting Rauner. One of them who just had her second child posted a story showing how change.org is instituting paid maternity leave for its employees. She posted with the comment, "That would be nice"

I replied with saying how in many countries this is the norm. Many have universal healthcare and worker participation on corporate boards. I pointed her to Change.orgs mission statement which states how it strives for social good through collaborative action. I wondered if she noted the irony of her posting the item given her Young Republican memes.
