(5,955 posts)might have had something to do with the fact that HIS OWN PARTY were (for some strange reason) embarrassed to be seen with his SUCCESSFUL policies; and preferred to be seen as 'Republican light,' rather than Democrat. And we, the foolish plebs of the party realized that if the Democratic Party LEADERSHIP actually tried to BOOST his successful policies instead of running away from them, the voting public would have realized how good they were.
But I guess the Party leadership knows best.
