Glenn Beck in pain.
"Glenn Beck on Monday revealed the true extent of his health issues, saying he can no longer keep what has happened a secret from his friends, his staff or audience, whom he considers to be his family.
If you have sensed a change in Beck maybe you even thought he was losing interest in his program Beck said it is because he was told he may only have several functional years left, and his health conditions were causing such excruciating pain that it was difficult to do live programming."

(21,568 posts)If that were Obama, beck would have no trouble saying he is sick because of his wicked ways. Maybe beck needs to put the dots together that after all the things he has said, now he is the one suffering. Time to come out before the world and embrace all the PROGRESSIVE ideals put forth by Jesus.

(16,402 posts)[font color="navy" face="Verdana"]He may have or have had something wrong, but I doubt it's some rare combination of rare diagnoses, and I strongly doubt that no doctors have been able to give him a firm diagnosis. I think he's playing his fan base.
Think I'll wait for legitimate medical confirmation before I believe any of it. Notice how every published story refers back to his self-claimed, self-presented, melodramatic performance on The Blaze?
He's already undergoing a "miracle cure" of sorts, "reversing" the disease process of "several things" and "coming back in a big way." All these doctors and therapists he claims? I want to hear it from them before I believe any of it.
His ratings have been in the toilet. This is just an attention grab because the psychopathic charlatan feels the need to be in the headlines again.
If I'm convincingly demonstrated to be wrong, I'll apologize. Not holding my breath.
Daemonaquila
(1,712 posts)It specifically mentions the very firm diagnosis of Addison's, which fits perfectly with his crazy-ass behavior and statements. It doesn't require a miracle cure (there is no cure, just a regime of medications), but you need a doc with enough brains to diagnose it, and a lifetime treatment regimen. His story is hardly unique. I fully believe it, and am frankly amazed that he didn't wind up in a mental ward before this.

(14,910 posts)However I cannot enjoy the physical pain of an individual regardless of how corrupt the individual may be. Regardless of the pain or suffering they may have caused others.
It's just not in my nature as a human being.
Mr. Beck will serve his due eventually.
Sorry folks...

(8,217 posts)I think he is a non-sensical f-wad, but I don't wish pain on any one.
Yes, I know that now and then I would think about stomping on someone's head... but that is about the extent of it.

(7,570 posts)I can easily see him playing his followers with this for money/sympathy/attention.
But if he really does have Addison's Disease, then I feel bad for him. I wouldn't wish that on anyone, not even a creep like Beck.

(7,908 posts)physical suffering, no matter what that person may have done in the past. I guess it's OK on a focused discussion board like this one, but it still seems a bit unseemly and leaves a bad taste in one's mouth. See also why we're opposed to torture.

(6,960 posts)Initiated the Willie Horton ad issue in the 1988 primary campaign against Dukakis. In the general election campaign, the repukes and their then RNC chair Atwater used it to their advantage.
But yes, Atwater was a dirty trickster and his ilk and spawn like Beck are despicable
KingCharlemagne
(7,908 posts)volunteered for a political campaign), so remember the Willie Horton stuff with an immediacy some here may not have. (IIRC, I also walked precincts for Jesse Jackson in that year's earlier WI primary campaign.)
N.B. Apparently Gore mentioned the weekend furlough program in a debate with Dukakis before the NY primary without naming Horton. But Atwater specifically framed the issue around Willie Horton.
Lee Atwater: "By the time we're finished, they're going to wonder whether Willie Horton is Dukakis' running mate."
Nothing further need be said about Bush's blatant appeal to racial fears and age-old stereotypes. After Ferguson, the Willie Horton ads now seem almost benign.
Thanks for the annotation. Historians and Americanists tip their hats in your direction!

(12,723 posts)Mostly it was a matter of eliminating anything cardiac (no history) from the pains she has been feeling. After 26 hours, complete blood tests, and a cardiac stress test there is nothing wrong cardiac or pulmonary so the hunt may continue for the cause or it may just be one of those nerve or getting older things not much can be done about.
For the most part she feels and felt fine. Just those sudden kind of pains and feelings that make you worry, but there were plenty of other folks in misery around us to make me lash out at the callous OP of this thread.
Thanks again for the thoughts.

"Beck said his doctors told him he should not have been standing, and only his faith in God had kept him moving. If he had remained in New York City, they said he probably wouldnt be alive today.
Over the last ten months, I did all kinds of tests and therapies, which included everything from electric stimulation to weird gyroscope tests like the astronauts use where theyre flipping you around, Beck remarked. After months of treatment and completely changing the way I eat, sleep, work and live, along with ongoing hormone treatment and intensive physical therapy, I have reversed the process. Some of the physical scars will be with me for the rest of my life
but my brain is back online in a big way.
Beck said the story is so remarkable that, if he and his wife hadnt lived it, they wouldnt believe it.
During his last day of therapy this summer, Beck took the traumatic brain injury test once more and the results showed him to be in the 90th percentile. He has since received a clean bill of health.
Rush Limbaugh says he does the show with half his brain tied behind his back, Beck joked. With me, its actually been true. But now, its back online. "

(7,632 posts)It's written on a third grade comprehension level and filled with weirdness. Anyone who claims to speak to God in a two way conversation is clearly either deluded or, more likely, a grifter.
I'm thinking attention seeking egomaniacal grifter personally.
