So, we had this big storm in Minnesota.

Snow and all that winter stuff. Tens of thousands of Minnesotans had no idea it was coming until they woke up on Monday morning when they went out to their cars to drive to work. Over 900 accidents later, people were still saying WTF did that come from?

We are unaware of what is going on around us. Why on Earth is that?

This is why we elect Repubicans. We, as a collective population, have no information about the real world. The information is available, o course but we do not pay any attention to it.

What the hell is with these folks? I watch little tv, but I do at least scan the headlines online and delve deeper on important stories... And during winter (and peak summer tornado season), I do check out local weather online or on the tube regularly.

What incredible ignorance.

on Sunday night. "Really?" the sister said. Thanks for letting me know. She watches no news, reads no newspaper, and listens to no radio stations. It's always a surprise, life is.

7. Weren't we told all Minnesotans know how to drive in this?

Or is that only when they are told about it ahead of time?

900 accidentals and a couple of deaths in the state. Yet not a single post bashing the state can be found.

And I am not saying you bashed when Georgia had a mess on its hands but plenty of others did.

Before the winds came in, it was clear blue sky and about 70 degrees. But then the wind came over Pikes Peak and there was a gust of 81 mph recorded. By about 8pm last night, the temp had dropped to 19 degrees with wind chill of -8 ! It was a very quick change, to say the least. This is a very large cold front.
