Because Blue Collar And White Collar Workers Will Not Vote Dem They Will Still Work For Less.

If the Democrats cannot win support of white collar and blue collar workers then these workers will continue to work for nothing and will lose jobs. The GOP will not help them except to reduce their wages and benefits further. Their political stance is like giving their executioner the ax to behead them with.

Stubborn mind sets have a price and it is the future of American workers who do not get it. I keep hearing the meme that supporting labor rights and higher wages is TOO socialistic. And the churches push the idea that giving health care to others is TOO communistic and anti Christian.

The mental disconnect in the country is so profound I wonder if we are really doomed. By the number really only about 19% of this election's votes were the supposed majority.

The GOP meme that Obama and the Dems are giving all the money and jobs to minorities and undeserving is a myth. The vast majority of Americans getting government benefits and jobs are actually white.

but apparently it is what the majority wants, so give it to em.

Give em every ridiculous GOP policy they have ever proposed or come up with.

Pain is what America voted for and the GOP is going to give it to em, Democrats should not even stop em, or even try to.

You know, that's exactly what's happened for the last 6 years. And we wonder why people don't vote Democratic.

Hmmm...if the majority are voting for liberal policies on ballot measures, but not for Democrats...yeah, no, I thought I had it figured out for a second

to privatize some services that were provided by the town, sadly it passed, now those that voted for it are pissed off that they now have to PAY for what was once included as part of the local government services, I just point out, well it is what YOU voted for, what is your problem? Then they just get pissed off and blame Obama or Democrats.

Almost like they're Republicans.

I don't know, maybe in your area that happens, but I've only heard people blame Democrats for not doing a thing while the Republicans and corporatists took over. Given the OP, it certainly seemed like you were referring to voters on a national scale and not in your local area.

The idea that we should just "give em every ridiculous GOP policy they have ever proposed or come up with" is soundly insane. I would think a liberal would fight that with their every breath. It would be socially unconscionable to just let the GOP take over--just think for a second, imagine all the people who would be hurt or killed (yes, killed--the Republicans will do everything possible to further impoverish those who already have nothing).

I will never simply roll over and let them.

I also completely disagree with both the premise of the OP and your first post in this thread. This is not "what the majority wants". The majority supports liberal policies on a case by case basis, but since there is no one to vote for that will actually cop to it besides a few scattered liberals, they vote for the party with a clear message: the Republicans. And that isn't even considering the fact that half of those Democrats without a clear message are actively working against labor.

Labor is interested in better working conditions, stronger protections, and higher wages. That's clearly shown by the liberal measures raising the minimum wage being passed all over the country. Don't buy into the meme pushed by the corporate media that labor is opposed to this--take a look at all the strikes that are happening nationwide. The thing is, you just don't hear about any of them.

For example the town has a salt shed, it is where they store the road salt for those who do not have them in there area, that is falling apart and only about 50% of it is usable so the town cannot buy as much in bulk so they pay more and the town can also easily run out due to lack of storage, the town wanted 15k for repairs, it was voted down. Now just guess what happened after the first snow and they ran out of salt.

At least the money for the library passed.

Ain't that the truth. Sadly, we see too much of that: "If it costs me money, I'm voting against it. Screw the unintended consequences, and screw the people it helps". Even though it would help them as well.

I'm glad you're still able to find funding for your library.

You would expect that the people who were "being given all the money" would actually have "the money". In fact, they do have the money.

If you want to find who is "being given all the money", simply look for where "the money" is piling up. Hint: you will find "the money" in the bank accounts of the 1%.
