Bill Cosby’s upcoming appearance on CBS’ “Late Show with David Letterman” has been canceled amid a growing uproar over allegations that he sexually assaulted several women in past decades. Cosby spokesman David Brokaw confirmed Friday night that Cosby would not appear next Wednesday as previously scheduled. He did not say why.

“Late Show” representative Kimberly Izzo-Emmet said, “We can’t comment on the guest booking process.” She said Regis Philbin would be the replacement guest. Another canceled engagement, on “The Queen Latifah Show” on Oct. 30, was characterized by that show as a postponement granted at Cosby's request.

5. The statute of limitations on rape is all over the place.

Depends on the state and the nature of the attack. It can range from 3 years to no limitation. As a practical matter it is very difficult to prosecute after time has gone by. There is no evidence or witnesses and it becomes a she said/he said case. That will not get you beyond a reasonable doubt.

Well, that idea backfired.

Bill Cosby asked folks on Twitter to turn him into a meme on Monday -- and it did not go well. The tweet has since been deleted.

Known primarily for his sitcom The Cosby Show, the comedian settled a lawsuit in 2006 with a woman who claimed he had drugged and sexually asshaulted her, according to the Associated Press.

Some of the responses......

Monday night, the meme generator was removed from Cosby’s website, and his tweet soliciting the fan interactivity disappeared. Cosby’s publicist did not respond to another request to comment.
