"Injuries Exaggerated" New Video Shows Wilson Leaving For Hospital After Murdering Michael Brown

Video shows Ferguson Officer Darren Wilson leaving for the hospital after shooting Michael Brown
Family says it appears claims of policeman's injuries were exaggerated

&feature=youtu.be

Last month, an unidentified source familiar with the investigation told the Post-Dispatch that Wilson said Brown punched him twice in the head during their initial encounter.

“He almost lost consciousness,” the source said of the officer’s account. Wilson described the 6-foot-4, 289 pound teen as “incredibly strong.”

“His face was swollen, so he’d obviously been hit or punched or something like that,” Ferguson Police Chief Tom Jackson told ABC News in the aftermath of the shooting.

On Saturday, attorneys for Brown’s family said the video of Wilson coming and going from the police station contributes to their argument that the officer was unjustified in killing the teen.

The quality of the film is poor. He looks just as normal as the rest of the guys in the group and pdoes not seem to be holding his face or head in a way that would make me think he was injured. Seems like an exaggeration after the fact.

After already waiting hours before even going to the hospital, your injuries are not life threatening.

IOW, he doesn't have to actually be stabbed with a hole in his torso before he can react with deadly force.

The case will be made, probably, that the blows were just the beginning in addition the reach for the weapon and that is what caused Wilson to be in fear for his life. That will be judged through a reasonableness standard and not one of hindsight.

5. "Almost loss consciousness," yet he could get out of his car and blast away. Come on.

I think the Grand Jury will let him walk, but he should be fired.

It is difficult to tell anything from these images. There could be slight swelling that is not visible on this. I believe Zimmerman's injuries were barely visible unless you knew what you were looking at/for.

Just because he "could" have some swelling does NOT mean that he did not injure himself on the door trying to get out or in some way when Brown was trying to pull away.

There is no need to deny unknowns. If no other images show up then, yes, he certainly would be exaggerating but right now this is not enough to base any assumptions on.

Again, he could have gotten injuries in his attempt to pull Brown in via the window or when he tried to get out of his vehicle to pursue Brown.

9. I agree with that. But, if he was that hurt, he should not have gotten out of his car blasting away

at an unarmed person. That's the problem. Something might have happened at the car. But that doesn't warrant shooting at him while he ran away, endangering innocent people in the neighborhood, etc.

I think the Grand Jury will choose not to indict, if for no other reason than the prosecutor didn't really push the case. If that happens, Wilson should be fired. Of course, the police chief is saying right now that he will return to duty. That might change.

12. Of course he shouldn't have

Wilson shouldn't have done anything but drive on or exhibit an ounce of patience.

My concern is this; just flat out saying I don't see any injuries and he is exaggerating makes it sound like if he did have injuries that show up in pics later.... it could put an unintentional spin slightly in his favor in that context. Maybe the family knows more as well as the witnesses but the online community should wait for a second until more is known if there is anything else to know.

I want to know How those "injuries" occurred if there are any and by what I have read it was by the door slamming on him as he tried to get out or during obviously what would be an awkward tussle between Brown and Wilson (through a car window). If someone tried to pull me into a car, I would pull back and if they had a good grip I would wrench and writhe until I got free. I suspect an unintentional injury could occur in that case, hell, if Brown had to punch his way out, that could also be the case.

I'm going to be fuming my brains out if that jury doesn't indict.

sure...that's as believable as zimmerman's supposed injuries. they both can LIE with impunity because some people will always believe them. they count on that, and unfortunately, it works too often.

11. Wouldn't the definitive thing be the testimony of the doctor or nurse at the hospital,

who examined him? Presumably such a medical professional would supply unbiased, expert testimony to the grand jury on the extent of his injuries, providing a much better picture than squinting at the video.

Did not seem to be acting like someone who needed to go to the hospital, especially two hours later.
I find it interesting the quote from the Ferguson police chief "...he'd obviously been hit or punched or something like that." Yeah, "something like that".
