We did have some unusually chilly weather here in NTX though......not that unusual to have some notable fluctuations in temperature from time to time in either the spring or the autumn(autumn especially), but we've had lows go below freezing in many parts for three days straight. Granted, it certainly could be worse, but.....

We're expected to get 2-4" of snowy, icy mess between late this afternoon and tomorrow morning.

Ground still relatively warm, cold air mass moving over it makes for a turbulent reaction.

3-5" of snow expected, very unusual. My Son's Birthday is 12/6, and he always wished he could have snow on his Birthday. It happened last year, but when he was little it only happened with a dusting of snow.

and I got the alert about 3 or 4am on my smartphone.

2 days ago they were saying > 2 inches tonight into tomorrow. I'm not ready for this yet lol.
