“16 Documentaries To Watch Out For This Year”

The list includes filmmaker Dave Jannetta’s doc Love and Terror on the Howling Plains of Nowhere a documentary based on Chadron, Nebraska author Poe Ballantine’s book by the same name about the mysterious death of Chadron State College math professor Steven Haataja, whose charred body was found tied to a tree in the boonies south of Chadron in March 2007, several months after he’d disappeared.



I don’t know of any conspiracy theories surrounding the case, but opinions around town vary as to who the killer/s is/are, or whether Haataja’s death was actually a suicide as many in law enforcement say it was – which, by the way, is bullshit.
