(17,469 posts)Just like it is legal to torture people, to invade other countries under false pretense, to spy on people, listen in on their calls without a warrant, to imprison people without charge, and to summarily execute them without trial.
The legality has been established and is tolerated in this country, so why read one more example?

(10,952 posts)the Prosecution is making no real effort since they are making the Grand Jurors decide everything including what crime if any, Wilson committed. All a Grand Jury is supposed to to is decide if there was sufficient evidence that a crime MIGHT have been committed. It is not supposed to be the one that determines what category of criminal act and it is definitely not supposed to act like a De Facto trial for Wilson. IMO, the whole way that the Prosecutor's Office is running the Grand Jury total negates any validity of findings because they appear to be deliberately stacking the deck in favor of Wilson then presenting a traditional grand jury case.

(25,551 posts)They failed to indict a campus police officer here in San Antonio after he followed a student to his off-campus apartment and killed him at his front door. The student was a white honors student. (Cop wasn't fired either) This case resembles Michael Brown's.
They also failed to indict a Hearne,Texas cop after he killed a 94 yo black woman in her home last year. (The cop was promptly fired)
They apparently are going to release documents after the grand jury's decision. I will probably read news articles that summarize the documents. I have a feeling they aren't going to show a whole lot more than what we already know.
