Filmmaker James Grimaldi from Buffalo in New York captured aerial film of his neighbourhood in West Seneka. In a BBC News interview he said "Right now I literally cannot go anywhere in a car... and it's very tough walking in waist-deep snow."

He's got his driveway all cleaned off but it looks like 4'-5' of snow in the street.

Lots of broken tree branches.

I'll take the rain any day!

because he's going to need to make a start on that tree before a plow can get through.

I hate snow like that. I was lucky enough to live on a main road in 78 and plows were out all night. People in housing developments weren't so lucky.

It's beautiful, but I don't think I would like to be there. I've seen snow on the ground in patches in NC, and once saw snow falling in Dallas..but never like that.

not to mention messy and wet.

The funny part is that I found out about the travel ban after I'd dug out and gotten to work.

I retired last year I drove an 18 wheeler every night from Indiana to Grand Haven, Michigan. I did this for the last 7 years. I cussed Lake Michigan every winter. I'll never understand why anybody would want to live up there.

It was a neat video. It's a beautiful scene, but I would not want to be there. It may be cloudy and gloomy looking here today, but it is not cold. I think I prefer Florida winters.
