To those who defend catcalling "because political correctness", HOW DARE YOU.

"Oh, women just need to be thicker skinned and ignore catcallers."

"Oh, catcalling is natural for horny men, you need to lighten up and stop being so politically correct. FREE SPEECH!"

These are the only two "arguments" you hear from those who have zero issue with catcalling "hey baby" to women walking in public. A dehumanizing act that only pedophiles, thugs, and lowlifes commit. Yet those who otherwise are polite in other aspects of life...turn the other cheek when the victims of harassment are women.

But you know what kind of FOOLS shamelessly sexually harass women in public? This, for instance:

A San Francisco man who was stabbed in the Tenderloin by a catcaller who had been harassing his girlfriend said Friday that he hopes his case raises awareness that street harassment is not a harmless act.

Ben Schwartz, 31, is recovering at home after a man stabbed him nine times in the early hours of last Saturday.

Schwartz had been walking home with his girlfriend of two years from a gathering at a friend’s apartment when they encountered an aggressive catcaller near Larkin and Ellis streets about 4:45 a.m.

Because Schwartz had forgotten his wallet, they had to pass the man three times, each time hearing him make rude and vulgar statements such as, “I’ll show you how a real man treats a woman,” and much worse, Schwartz said.

...the man lashed out with a blade, stabbing Schwartz in the back, face, neck and arms and puncturing a lung. The gashes on his arms required about 60 stitches each, while the cuts to his back just missed his spinal cord.

And not just adult women get sexually harassed by these brazen excuses of men who should be on the sex offender registry. So do girls.

So my message to those who brush off catcalling, sexual harassment, etc. as not a big deal or excessive political correctness, how dare you do so.

It was frightening then, infuriating later.

The "aw, gee, it's only a compliment!" defense is the most infuriating of all.

Being told you are a piece of meat with no right to walk anywhere is not a compliment.

I assume you are talking to people elsewhere on the internet. They aint here though, so why act like they are? Your message is lost by posting it here.

There's a huge difference between cat-callers and attempted murderers.

do with the attack, other than perhaps elicit some kind of angry reaction from the dude...FWIW, I've *never* heard of anyone catcalling a girl walking with her BF outside of high schoolers who don't know better, and very, very unsavory environments where you wouldn't want to be walking, period...

... I have seen guys try the "stare down". Exactly what they think they are going to accomplish with catcalls and stares is beyond me, no woman is going to have a positive response to that crap. And I might be wrong but I think that somewhere in their tiny confused brains they think they might get lucky.

When I see/hear I guy doing that I almost feel sorry for them, they are in fact pathetic.
