Part of the reason I am so sad about all that has happened is because I was a law and order type. Yes I understood the unequal before the law bs, my family is poor after all so we have seen it even if not subjected to it. But, I still thought that being strong on upholding the law and having tougher laws was the answer for a long time. But, after a couple of decades I get the hint. The laws are only for the little people and POC no matter how much money they have they are still going to have to prove that they are law abiding citizens rather than the LEOs have to prove that they are not.

It's not actually about fighting crime. It's about showing which race is boss.

I know it. You know it.

And everytime our party runs on a "law and order" platform, we end up either losing or throwing our base under the bus when we win.

We need to be about keeping the peace, but not singling out any one race for special suspicion or denial of the presumption of innocence.

"Law and Order" is about dividing us by race and class, and about entrenching the .001%. What happened in Ferguson proves that once again.
