60 minutes re lions

sorry...just so upset. episode was re lions being bred for hunters in S. Africa. Was attacked by lion at "refuge" there. How dumb I was. 20 acres for lions with separate areas for cubs ect. Meanwhile lectured for 2 weeks how evil US is for having zoos. Ack!!! sorry for indulgence as so very angry and need vent.

...you were "attacked" by a lion and lived to tell about it?

I watched 60 Minutes. Sad story.

attacked me but found friend's camera more exciting to destroy thank gawd. Horrid country...whites hate blacks and blacks hate whites. Had to stay on farm for week and pet dogs were decapitated by blacks angry. Have never been so happy to return to US before...usually the opposite. The first time they had tv was "Dynasty" show...

..., please tell more about the lion attack. Where were you that a lion would attack you and what injuries were sustained? How did you get away? Was it a true, vicious attack...or was it a 'get off my lawn' warning?

Was this in Africa? Was it an open air, animal refuge?...or, were you out in the wild?

I'm curious about your experience. In my uneducated 'wild animal' mind, if a lion was truly attacking a person, that person probably wouldn't live to tell about it. Was it a misunderstanding between you and the lion? ... Were you in his space, or, was he in yours?...

Did you get pictures? Did you end up in the hospital?...

It sounds like being attacked by a lion wasn't your biggest fear. Was this during the '70s?

Was that 20 questions yet?...

...the first part of the 60 Minutes story but was depressed to see how it ended.

Was there a fence between you and the lion? Was this lion giving you a warning to back off or did he genuinely attack to kill?... Why do you think he attacked you?

How many stitches?...

kept telling them Hillary Clinton was helping him and that seemed to assuage things.

and then sending them off to be slaughtered by trophy "hunters" hardly gives any of them the moral standing to lecture anyone.

The controlled hunts that Dick Cheney used to enjoy. What a Dick he was!

The film of them being shot made me sick. I despise the whole idea of private preserves. About 15 miles from my home there's a private, fenced preserve where people hunt wild boar (!?).
We have a long way to go as a race. I wonder if we'll make it.

... I inadvertently found myself at a "pheasant preserve" in Northern Utah; the first I'd ever heard of such a thing.

I've never been more disgusted than I was to discover that my partner's "business lunch with coworkers" turned out to be watching two dickweeds "hunt" farm raised birds, released from randomly situated cages.

Every cage we encountered had "hunters" already walking around it, looking for escaped birds along the base perimeter of the pen.

It was disgusting. Aarghh...what a memory.
