Here's what they have done: Made Mike Brown a Martyr

The Powers That Be went overboard, and in their foolish attempt at excusing the killing of Mike Brown, have made Mike into a modern day martyr, whose death and suffering is unifying people around the country.

Mike's death is a rallying call for the oppressed. The shots from the gun that killed him are shots heard around the world. Just look at the photos of the students and others on campuses and in business districts marching with their "Hands up, Don't shoot", calls for justice!!

It would have been real easy for the Powers That Be to support justice and see that justice was done for Mike Brown. But they didn't. They laughed, and basically told everyone: You're next.

RIP, Mike Brown. You will not be forgotten.

They don't know that after you kill one kid for eating skittles and another for having loud music in his car and yet another for jaywalking, that you then don't get to kill a 12 yr old for playing with a toy gun.

Not unless you wish to wake the sleeping giant.

Folks of the AfAm community don't need to be awakened, but some really good folks outside of that community have been awakened and this is something these assholes didn't count on.

They went too far. They could have allowed justice to work, but they subverted justice. Each and everyone of us knows that only by having justice work as intended, can any of us be safe.

Each of us is asking ourselves: Am I next?

Each parent is asking themselves: Will my child be the next one?

African Americans have been asking themselves those questions since this country was founded. Now we all are asking ourselves that question. The best answer to "Is it safe?" is to make sure justice always prevails.

People won't be thinking about brown or furgeson much like people aren't thinkin about Martin. There was more outrage about him and what difference did that make?

There aren't that many people protesting now and now is when people should be the most outraged so why are they going to revolt as the weather gets colder, christmas rolls in, New Years party's start, and then there is the Super Bowl.

Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, Emmett Till and the many killed by the racist 'demons' who reside in this country. You're speaking for yourself only. Sounds like a great holiday season just around the corner just for you.........I won't forget and if only ONE person remembers, then they are never forgotten and the day will roll around to where those who don't forget will see retribution take place. How long did it take for Medgar Ever's killer(s) to finally be prosecuted...and put into prison. So NEVER will this murder be forgotten.

Tamir. Or the kid shot for playing his music too loud. Or the young woman whose car broke down in the wee hours of the morning after partying all nite - and knocked on the wrong door. Or being choked to death for selling cigarettes.

I have never stopped thinking about Rodney King.

And I say this as a white, older woman.

The anger has always been there. It's now boiling over.

Christmas, New Years or the Super Bowl is never going to make this anger go away.

Too many.

Just saw that thread of the college protests and it made me weep. This old guy had tears in his eyes. Why? Because finally I see people standing tall for their rights, and for justice, and right there in front of the cops.

For too long we've all seen people bow down and submit. For too long we have witnessed the deaths of many at the hands of the PTB and done nothing.

Not this time, and I have a very strong feeling about this, it is a turning point that will make history.

outraged every decent citizen on the planet who knew about his death.

That was the beginning - the police militarized response made it worse and this farce with the DA, GJ and Wilson was the last straw.

It was the rallying cry -we want justice!!

It is in the pledge of allegiance

Justice for All.

The promise has been broken.

The one salient point of the whole American system of justice was pissed on by the PTB. They made a big mistake not bringing justice to Mike and is family and his community. Because we all now recognize that each of us of the 99% can be treated the same way as they did Mike Brown.
