When I wrote this OP, a while ago, I thought it was just kind of a funny statement on being an expat outside of the US. I hope it is still that.
That said, times have changed. We must wrest control of the cabana from the monkeys at any cost. I would like all of us, from the anarcho-syndicalists to the third-way opportunists to agree: we absolutely must eject the Republican party from control of Congress.
Is this something that all of us, every single one, on the board can agree on? If so, I will ask my seamstress friend (yes, I will pay her) to sew a "Jai Ho" banner that I will unveil as soon as we have certified the grounds as free of monkeys... err... the Congress as free of Republican majorities.
The monkeys cannot maintain control of the cabana. We have to shoo them out.
In fact, I'll make a poll

(18,186 posts)and you should know, thanks to you, whenever things get hinky, I say "Looks like the monkeys are in control of the cabana again."
Thanks a lot.
I really mean that; it's a great phrase that covers a lot of situations.

(11,362 posts)I would also like to see an end to republican majorities, but if it harms a lot of people in a substantial way, is it worth it?
Let's not burn down the cabana to get rid of those monkeys.

Massive vote fraud?
Please clarify. I personally think that having ideas that appeal to the vast majority of voters would be the best option.
