What Happened to Chuck Hagel's Face?
The head of America's fighting forces lost a war with a kitchen cabinet.
Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel speaks during a news conference at the Pentagon, Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, where he announced that he is ordering top-to-bottom changes in how the nation's nuclear arsenal is managed, vowing to invest billions of dollars more to fix what ails a force beset by leadership lapses, security flaws and sagging morale. Chuck Hagel, the head of America’s fighting forces, tried to make his conspicuous face injury sound hardcore during a press conference on Friday.

“I engaged the corner of a kitchen cabinet,” the defense secretary said, using the same kind of terminology combat forces employ to describe shooting an insurgent. “It didn’t work out well for me.”

I'm going to guess the band-aid covers the removal location of a precancerous basal cell. My guess and twelve dollars can get you a cup of coffee at Starbucks.

than the story Hagel told.

An encounter with a kitchen cabinet could leave a bruise but it looks like he has a scab from a cut or scratch that bled. I don't see a counter doing that.

Other than that, he looks like an old guy in bad lighting.
