Once I see the flame icon, I don't bother to respond.

Sorry Skinner and Elad...once it gets to the point of the flaming icon, no one actually reads anything. Okay, I do. I'm sure a few others do. But for the most part, once a thread goes beyond 50-100 replies, people just start replying to the OP without taking into account anything else posted previously. That makes the thread grow exponentially larger without anything new added. Just a pig pile.

So, in light of my stream-of-consciousness post, I'll sit back. So many good threads to dive into, but many of them are just full of repetitive shit from people who never bother to read anything beyond their own posts.

It's like web site ads. I don't see 99% of them, even the pop-ups, I close them without spending more than half a second. Gone, erased from memory, return to reading.

The Information Age helps us to ignore what we deem non-essential before letting information inside our minds. If you can keep up, that is. Granted, it's not always easy.
