(18,402 posts)They're up, 0.4% in November and 2.4% for the year. But let's look for the black cloud in the silver lining. Wages started flatlining decades ago, and then the recession came. And we're starting to see rises--small, sure. But 2.4% is well above current inflation rate (The latest annual inflation rate for the United States is 1.7% through the 12 months ended October 2014, as published by the US government on November 20, 2014. http://www.usinflationcalculator.com/inflation/current-inflation-rates/ )
Things are improving, and that seems to make you very angry. That's sad.
The Labor Department reported on Friday that employers added 321,000 jobs in November, a much stronger number than economists had predicted and the 10th consecutive month of net job gains above 200,000.
Even more significant was that the improving job market finally delivered a sharp jump in average hourly earnings for ordinary workers that was double the anticipated 0.2 percent increase.

It's a record: The U.S. economy has never before delivered 50 straight months of payrolls growth (Previous record: 48, ending in mid-1990.).

And, yet there will be those who whine and use this to get their venomous cheap shots thrown at the President.
