I understand the dispersal in response to the "anarchists" (if that's what they were - possibly police disrupters) on University avenue. What I don't get is this second wave dispersal of the peaceful protesters on Telegraph Avenue. Is this just an advanced warding off to protect the businesses there?

Is there a curfew? Is there a ban on gathering in public? If not, these people aren't doing anything illegal, and these police are just making themselves look like jackboots here.

And the helicopters buzzing over at 1:30am? Uncool, man.
