since in our country, junk food is affordable and easy to find but fresh fruit and vegetables are expensive.

Two or three times, he pronounced it Apart-hide, which is the common mispronunciation in the US. It should be Apart-hate.

Perhaps he thought it best not to confuse the American audience.

pronounce it differently. Two different language groups with an Afrikaner word.

I was an English-speaking South African. Everyone pronounced it Apart-hate. The ei combination in Afrikaans has a long A sound.

I've seen his show on NF, and he's been on Live at the Apollo and a bunch of other stuff as well. If he really is joining The Daily Show (and it seems like he is), he'll be a great addition.
