There was a tremendous response, over 8K plus hoping to find her. Can only imagine how they must feel. And wonder if there was a fundraiser, too.

It seems that like in most states, just killing someone won't get you the needle; you have to commit another felony to become eligible for the DP. (The most popular second felony is another murder, but that's neither here nor there.) If he would have committed the sex acts while she was alive he would have his second felony, that of rape, and they could seek the death penalty. Since he waited till she was dead before committing the sex acts - is this case creeping everyone else the fuck out? - all they can get him on is misdemeanor corpse-abuse and felony murder.

Premeditation means you thought about it before you did it and the length of time you thought is immaterial, so pretty much ALL murders are premeditated murders.

But I'm not sure how marijauna being grown on his property has any relevance to the case. Pretty sure pot doesn't give one the urge to murder someone and have sex with their corpse.

a fence for my brother, who told me tonight that he feels like ripping the fence down after reading what this sicko did. This whole story is just unbelievably twisted. Sadder still, in previous reporting, there had been no animosity between this man and his step-daughter. Not too long ago, she had posted on Facebook that he has been just like a real dad to her. She left behind 3 children.

She could of finally said enough and he killed her for it then raped her. <-this is just my opinion of what might have happened. It seems odd to kill and rape your step-daughter without any history of abuse.
