(87 posts)Recently I heard about a situation at an elite college sports event. Some of the elite students yelled racial jeers at the visiting mostly Black team.
The administration of the elite college did nothing about the hate talk, saying they were not sure who yelled what. My guess: they did not want anyone to know their students could behave that way.
Clearly there was an intolerable situation, and a teaching moment was missed.
How about getting a movement to have colleges talk about race issues on MLK Day?

(16,926 posts)do NOT make this the last time you post it.
It needs to be heard - over - and over - and over - well, you get the idea.
I had that quote on a "Post-it" in my office and I would look at it at different times throughout my career.
IT NEEDS TO BE HEARD!
