WASHINGTON, December 10 (Sputnik) Multiple CIA directors, responsible for unlawful practices should face criminal charges, former Marine Captain and State Department official Matthew Hoh has told Sputnik.
"At a minimum, intelligence officials, who clearly broke American law, should be investigated and have criminal charges brought against them. This should include past and current senior officials, such as General Michael Hayden, Jose Rodriguez and John Brennan, not just for their implementation of the torture program, but for their malfeasance and perjury," Hoh said Tuesday.
Hoh, who served as a marine captain in both Iraq and Afghanistan, made his comments in the wake of the release of a scathing review of CIA interrogation techniques by the US Senate Intelligence Committee.
The report's exposure of torture may not have been earth-shattering, but it did clarify "the deceit by the CIA towards the Congress, the White House and the American people," Hoh added.
CIA interrogators used a number of cruel techniques including Russian Roulette, sleep deprivation, along with other tortures against the suspects, detained in relation to 9/11 attacks.

Too many politicians, CEO's, military brass, and Wall Street tycoons have secrets that must be kept hidden.
The genie is out of the bottle.
The CIA is the government.

(10,597 posts)... Hell, I'll highly endorse what he suggests. Put 'em all on trial just like Nuremberg. Go all the way back to GHWB.
Just think what we could do with all the money that would be saved if we just shut that thing down. Shut it down and then tear it down. Excavate it out of existence! And when we get done with that one, do the same to the NSA.
So the winger "expert" pundits are saying the report is a "Deeply flawed report." It was deeply flawed, alright... it was minimized in size (from 6,000 pages down to 480 pgs) and it looks like Dick Cheney redacted it himself.
