I don't see a single progressive voice in favor of TPP.
However Hillary was one of the architects of TPP.
It must be confusion on my part, so I'd love to hear our most dedicated Hillary supporters make the case - Tell us the good that you see in the TPP

(43,049 posts)it seems that, among other things, the TPP is a strike against China taking over the world.

But what the corporations here seem to want, is to make the market able to compete with China's low pricing by making developed democratic nations around the world treat their workers & their environment just as bad so they can ALL offer consumers stuff at "low low prices" and still make a killing.
This is what they choose to do rather than just not deal with China anymore.
There's money to made there, can't give that up. Lets just throw all the workers of the world under the bus so we can make more money. With our governments' help.
THAT is what we need to fear.

You "hate" her and should just be quiet, take a pledge and accept that everyone else is crappy. Threats about Cruz being president fit in somehow also.

(11,804 posts)I do think that Trade Agreements can be a good thing; but historically they are negotiated in secret, they haven't protected workers rights, they haven't addressed environmental concerns, and without knowing more about TPP (which is also being negotiated in secret) it's hard to support it.
That said, I am not reflexively against trade agreements - on a global level we live in a capitalist economy. That economy needs to be regulated, and it's the nations that are going to have to regulate it through trade agreements. The problem is that such agreements aren't handled in a democratic way that puts the needs of the people first, in my opionion.

(5,066 posts)I have voted democratic here In Missouri every time since i started to vote in 1992.I will never vote republican but i refuse after seeing how useless dems In Missouri are in aftermath of ferguson to vote for lesser of two evils anymore.
I will support a primary challenger to Hillary even if i am left only with Jim Webb.At least he is more honest than her.
I would rather stay home than vote for her and useless MO dems.
