Milkshakes and Cheeseburgers for Mr. Tenet, Mr. Goss, Mr. Hayden, and Mr. McLaughlin

They proudly state that their interrogation techniques saved American lives. It was the right thing to do.

Perhaps if we stripped off all their clothes and dragged them across the floor, they might change their minds and admit it was a mistake?

Or perhaps we could gently beat them with a club as they lay on the floor naked? If they still won't say what we want them to say, then maybe we should hang their arms up on ceiling hooks with their toes barely touching the floor? Will they still say that their "interrogation techniques" were the right thing to do? Even if we hang them up there for a week?

If they still refuse to talk, maybe we can stretch them out on the floor, with their feet slightly elevated, and cover their nose with a cloth and pour water down their nose? This is called "water-boarding". It's been around since at least the Spanish Inquisition. Perhaps they will then admit that their torture program was wrong?

If they are still alive but unable to tell us what we want them to say and they refuse to eat, perhaps we can give them a cheeseburger? And we can offer them a milkshake, either orally or rectally? Which do you think they might prefer?

Do you think they would still sing the praises of this wonderful program?

Because, why not?

This was in the prime 5 pm window.

What he said was that all Americans should read the Senate report, the Republican minority report, and the CIA rebuttal. Yeah right.

What got me was how he said it. He used a chillingly calm voice that sounded like "This is your conscience speaking". It was like something out of a futuristic movie were the authorities are broadcast telling the masses exactly what to think and that what they thought just happened did not actually happen, quite the opposite really. We did no wrong. All is well.
