The timing of the report was exquisite from their viewpoint. Now, it's out. No one can ever say it wasn't released. Everyone will vent their righteous indignation.

Within a few days, everyone will be on the Christmas/New Year bandwagon. The parties will be starting. People will start traveling. The holidays will crash down on us -- ho, ho, ho, jingle all the way -- Happppy New Year.

And by Jan. 5, when people start wandering back into work, the torture report will be "old news," "last year's news."

And except for a few of us "cranks," it will all be forgotten.

No need to a distraction.

because of the release of the report.
They are self serving ReTHUG scumbags for whom treason has no meaning.
On the other hand they need chaos to keep on generating their profits.

The people who were being tortured, their families, their friends, the fellow villagers, their governments, everyone knew exactly what was happening. This report didn't tell them anything they didn't already know.

why Americans are already under attack in the Middle East and in some countries in Africa. Did they not expect this response.

And we knew enough. We didn't know all the gory details, but we knew enough. We knew enough to impeach people. We knew enough to charge people with crimes against humanity. We knew enough to stop it and we didn't.

WE KNEW ENOUGH

We are a cursed nation!!!! The American flag is a symbol of shame. Anyone who salutes or pledges allegiance to the flag is pledging allegiance to shame.

original inhabitants and theft of labor from Africans forcibly imported against their will. Torture is a reductio ad absurdum of such tawdry orgins.

My question is, stipulating to everything you post above, where do we go from here? Believe you me, I have been mulling this question ever since August 9.

I'm getting to the point where I don't rule anything out. Anything can happen and it always does.
