CIA ‘Torture’ Practices Started Long Before 9/11 Attacks (Newsweek)

Oh!, well...if it started "long before 9/11" then who are we to question Bush & Cheney? I mean, they were just doing what was already being done!

I walked by the TV this a.m. My girlfriend was watching the View. Some blond on the program was saying the same thing - the report was put together by the Dems and she said it doesn't have credibility. They must have been up all night coming up with the Repug talking points and emailing them out to all of their talking heads.

Watch for other Repugs saying the same thing.

I'm willing to admit to a bias in the report if such a bias is pointed out. You can't simply call something bias and flawed because the information in it is inconvenient.

Perhaps it is the Republican Party that is biased and flawed?

i was wondering what talking point they'd come up with to whitewash this thing. i mean, it's a tough one from a PR perspective -- you don't want to put your spokesmen in the position of trying to make a lengthy apologetic for torture. That means the whole thing has to be discredited in as few words as possible.

24 hours later, they do not disappoint: "it's from Democrats, so ignore it"
