A strange romance going on in Washington...

...between progressive Democrats and many in the Tea Party.

They are both rebelling against the House budget because of some of the reckless bills added to it.

As a result, John Boehner has had to call a recess because he doesn't have the votes to pass it at this moment.

Indeed, politics can make strange bedfellows...

1. The tea party isn't rebelling because of bills added to it. They're rebelling because it isn't

conservative enough. You know, too much government spending, plus it doesn't defund any agency that can implement Obama's immigration order.
Only the dems care about the bills that aren't good for the average American citizen, the repubs care about the fact that it won't hurt them.

They could cut the defense budget by a third and have enough to fund our other needs.

But you may be right?

We shall see where they go from here?

asking their Senators and Congresspersons not to pass this bill in its present form.

Keep up the pressure people. It may still help to stop this abomination in its tracks.

Block it!!! I hope in the new Congress the GOP finds itself just as hamstrung as they did to our tribe. Taste of their own medicine. See how they like it.

is made for the Chamber of Commerce and Wall Street. All the old farts leaving office are working for their new bosses when they vote for this bill.

The Tea Party is no friend of Wall Street.

Useful idiots on occasion. But that's about the best one can say about them.

Boehner can take out some of the crap in the bill, the Democrats can vote with him and leave the Tea Party on their own?

A strange romance, with no kisses
A strange romance, my friend this is
We should be like a couple of hot tomatoes
But you're as cold as yesterday's mashed potatoes

A strange romance, you won't nestle
A strange romance, you won't wrestle
I might as well play bridge
With my old maid aunt
I haven't got a chance
This is a strange romance

Apologies to Jerome Kern, "A Fine Romance"
