7 Things Christians Should Know About Torture

A new report by the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence on the CIA’s use of torture of suspected terrorists finds the agency repeatedly lied about brutal techniques that were both ineffective and illegal. The report also highlights examples of the extreme abuse, neglect, and torture of prisoners by CIA interrogators.

I think most christians - who try to do the teatchings of Christ - is as disgusted by this report as everyone else - who might have different dominiations - or who have no belife at all - I have allways been against torture - all the time back from where I once wisited my grand- uncle - who survived Dachau KZ camp - and who ended up being in a swedish hospital for a year after he was liberated in 1945 - becouse he was to weak to come back to Norway - and also becouse the swedish hospital was better to treat his ilnesses - coming from mistreatment in the hands of the SS at Dachau.. - He never really was talking about it - but I do know - form my mom - that he never was himself - after the experiences he had then... And he was a big man of over 100 kg when he was arrested in 1941 - he never got back to the same size - as the body had been starving to long in the hands of his tortureres - even years after he come back - he was a rather thin man compared to what he was before the war....

It is a reason torture is outlawed - and I do belive that anyone who support the idea of torture should be treated the same way they want other to be treated - if they experience torture firsthand - I suspect 99.9 percent of them would know what torture is...

...is that torture produces confessions rather than information.
