How Will 'The Colbert Report' End? The Final Guest List May Provide Some Clues

http://www.techtimes.com/articles/22172/20141214/how-will-the-colbert-report-end-the-final-guest-list-may-provide-some-clues.htm

The Colbert Report recently announced the final line-up of guests for the show's last week, and overall it's pretty straightfoward. It doesn't look like Stephen Colbert is going to have some big, sentimental retrospective of favorite guests from the past 11 seasons of his show. The last guests on The Colbert Report include Seth Rogen, Kendrick Lamar, former Marine and author Phil Klay and Grimmy, a.k.a. the Grim Reaper.

OK, that last guest choice is odd. Colbert's final guest will not be a politician, journalist or celebrity, the type of guest that usually joins him onstage, but none other than the Grim Reaper himself. Does that mean The Colbert Report will have an extremely dark ending?

It should be an interesting week. He has seemed a little more animated than usual, and that's saying a lot.

As long as he doesn't kill himself off I suppose he could come back.

I think his moving to the tinny tiny tv screen is a great idea. He has the smarts, the wherewithal, and the perfect personality to handle it.

favorite of mine before the character he plays under his own name existed. To be honest what surprised me then and makes me think he'll do well in the future is the fact that the character Colbert was able to function that long and that well. The fist week I said 'this will go cold in less than a year unless Stephen is a full tilt comic genius'. He lasted years. Comic genius.
I really think this is the unleashing of a talent held back by the very construct that put him on top.

He was an improv star before he hit the Daily Show.

That is why the Grim Reaper will appear.. There will be a new Birth soon of The Colbert Show and I am sure it will be every bit as successful as the Colbert Report was.

Perhaps the GR is there to lend finality to the Last Show, as in, he's really done with the Colbert persona.

Should be interesting to see who he chooses to be in the afterlife, that is, life after the Colbert Report.
