PENNSBURG, Pa. — Law enforcement officials in Montgomery County said Monday that they were searching for a man accused of killing six people and seriously injuring at least one other person at three homes northwest of Philadelphia.
In a statement, the Montgomery County district attorney identified the suspect as William Stone, 35, of Pennsburg, Pa. All of the victims had a “familial relationship” to Mr. Stone, District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman said in the statement.
Ms. Ferman said Mr. Stone was probably wearing military fatigues and was known to use a cane or walker. He had eluded police officers, who warned Pennsburg residents on Monday afternoon to remain inside with their doors locked.
