Elizabeth Warren is NOT running for president in 2016, here's why.

She has no ground organization work begun in Iowa and New Hampshire.

It's too late for her to start. Edwards, Obama, and Clinton all had ground work begun in both by this time in 2006. The "also rans" were beginning their work at this time in 2006, too.

To date, there is precisely NOTHING in place for a Warren run in 2016.

It's already too late for her to get in the game.

Warren has nothing.

Retail politics begins about 16 months out for the presidency now.

She doesn't want to do it sooner because that cuts off the "informal coordination" that is permitted before a candidate declares.

The strategy discussions provide further evidence that the former secretary of state and first lady is edging closer to another run for the presidency, after two years writing and promoting a memoir, giving paid speeches and strengthening ties with key Democratic interest groups. But rather than announce in January — as she did in 2007 — Clinton allies are increasingly working under the assumption that an official announcement will not come until spring.....

The enforced separation now under discussion by Clinton and her aides would erect a clearer legal barrier between her and her unofficial campaign-in-waiting. It would put an end to the informal discussions now taking place between Clinton’s inner circle and operatives working for outside groups backing her.

Because Clinton is not a declared candidate for federal office, she and her advisers are allowed to communicate informally with groups such as Priorities USA Action, Ready for Hillary and American Bridge, whose Correct the Record project functions as a rapid-response operation on her behalf. If and when she announces her bid, however, Clinton’s campaign would not be able to share strategic information with allies outside the campaign and Democratic Party.

she had better make sure that all the skeletons are out of hiding or the GOP will crucify her. They will call her a hypocrite and a liar. She won't deserve it but it will stick.

And I won't be surprised if she doesn't run. I will say, though, that she has a fair amount of grassroots support and things could come together very quickly if "I'm not running" turned to "Ok, I'm in"

It makes sense for her to not totally shut down all media speculation at this point, though. She can bring more attention to her issues/causes.

Didn't I see that post somewhere on this board? Are the people here lying to me? That damd post even had their names and states they handled.

Everybody lies to me.... boo hoo

And I though this was the one place to find truth...

And I thought the post was real.

Aside from that, , I think that Warren's impact on the Democrats in the House was major and sincere, and on the people in the Senate, both parties. Hillary never ever got that kind of response on any occasion when she served in the Senate. She shocked them into thinking. Us, too.

The heck with what DU thinks. "I" think Warren will run and Hill will drop out. It just wasn't meant to be. No link, no fortuneteller or shaman. Just looking at what happened last week. You know, nothing has ever shaken my love and confidence in Obama UNTIL WARREN MENTIONED HIS SEC OF THE TREASURY. Go back and check my love and admiration filled posts...I always make excuses for him but can't think of any. I even sent an email and told him how disappointed I was in his choice of a Citigroup fella for that post.
(no reply yet)...

Sorry you're not here cali, to see me not stick up for him.

with her name recognition

with the sheer numbers of passionate activists that would work for her

Elizabeth Warren can WAIT until the VERY LAST MINUTE to enter the primaries.

I suggest that she can wait until NEXT THANKSGIVING to enter and still be fine.

RFK didn't enter the race until MARCH of 1968, and he would have walked away with the nomination with ease.

Campaigns are so tightly ran now a days, and the Party leaders and campaign managers think they get to tell people how things are going to be run. I say to hell with all of that. I am not voting for the party leaders and campaign manager to be my President. I am voting for the candidate who will best represent me in my government.
