Are we scared of North Korea or did some Sony exec have kiddie porn on his computer?

He'd probably do anything to prevent NK from releasing that stuff, including pulling a movie and claiming 'terror, terror, terror'.

I think the only thing that some execs from Sony fear is exposure, bad PR, and a stint in prison.

The only thing we have to fear, is..... someone posting our Google search history and hidden files for the world to see.

AND has a violent act happen b/c of it that theater would be sued by people who will say "you were warned about the violence and you still showed it anyway"

people here would cheerlead the lawsuit b/c the theater knew violence was coming and decided in the name of profits to show the film anyway

emails released. Including one about the president. I'm thinking there are worse things lurking that they want hushed up.

Its possible the so-called Fappening leaks which purportedly contains photos of multiple underage celebs are tied into all of this. I never really subscribed to the theory that hackers broke into hundreds of celebs phones and icloud accounts, the logistics of obtaining phone numbers, accounts, passwords, etc would be a monumental and if they had that capability why would they just stop at celebs?

Its possible they got the photos from a single source, perhaps a producer or director.

share thousands of files, have an entire movie release cancelled, and threaten violence, BUT they wouldn't expose an exec's kiddie porn?

Yeah. Right.

If I had to guess its either China, a disgruntled ex-employee of Sony or a disgruntled US intelligence operative who is trying to make a political statement (ie Snowden 2.0).

Remember these files are being shared on torrent sites so its not very hard to figure out who the first people seeding these files are but whoever it is, the FBI and others seem to be holding off on making arrests.
