As someone who lives in NC and has watched the NC GOP DESTROY decades of progress in a very short time, trust me when I say they are not "scared," and that includes up to the federal level.

Because of the actions of a black man. It is their worst nightmare because their entire faux reality is completely falling apart.

At this precise moment in history the GOP are as scared as they have ever been.

Unlike DU, not all Americans have Bush fatigue. Immigrants are not a monolithic voting block. Some Idiot Americans would vote for a third Bush because of the "historic value." Pick the right running mate, and it could happen. As always, though, "it's the economy, stupid." And turnout -- which voters are the most motivated?

Republicans completely control how many states now? 24? And 31 Executive Mansions, IIRC. They're not afraid.
