(9,527 posts)But what sort of dumbass runs for office knowing he has something like this hanging over his head? The incident was in October and he didn't become the nominee until this week. Did he really think nobody would notice? Or is the Republican party so accepting of sexual assault?

(1,569 posts)even though this guy wasn't drawn to the GOP and is running against a Republican. He secretly is a member of the Republican party because he probably has the same beliefs but smokes pot and gets laid. Or something like that.

(1,569 posts)You obviously just can't admit you are wrong. This is a candidate for the Libertarian Party. Not a Republican. Not the GOP. How can you claim that this guy was drawn to the GOP when he isn't part of the GOP? That makes no sense AT ALL. It's laughably stupid. He could have the exact same views as the guy he is running against and it still would make no sense.

(1,569 posts)be considered RWNJ bullshit. Some people around here just hate when the obvious truth is given. They openly defend their ignorance and stupidity without shame. DU can be a very strange place.
War is Peace. Freedom is Slavery. Ignorance is Strength. This Libertarian candidate is a Republican that was drawn to the GOP.

(135,425 posts)I'd have voted with the Reading is Fundamental bunch were I on that jury, too. I'm surprised that wasn't a 7-0 leave...berating someone for making an accurate comment is just, well, uncivil.

(16,113 posts)Even if the people aren't republicans. Hell, the number of articles you can find here about people doing stupid things completely unrelated to any politics and find people speculating about how they "must be republicans" astounds me.

(10,175 posts)He doesn't want government; but he's running for office. He doesn't want to pay for the roads and infrastructure; but he sure likes using them. He doesn't recognize women's rights, so he can do whatever he wants. Cut the guy a break, he's just trying to follow the party platform.
Don't forget no taxes and regulations for the wealthy and corporate sectors. This is freedom.
Tell me how that is different from Repukes?
