A climate scientist who is a devout Christian speaks

Katharine Hayhoe, director of Climate Science Center at Texas Tech, and atmospheric scientist, addresses concerns of Christian conservatives re climate change:

Some of the questions she addresses, and her answers:
Isn't God in charge?
Answer is free will. God gave us intelligence to make choices and there are consequences. Climate change is a consequence of industrial society.

The world is gonna end anyway. Why should I do anything?
She quotes Paul, that we should not just lay around and wait for the end. But work for a better world.

She tells them we all share the values, Christian conservatives want a better world for their children, and an earth which can support us.

----it's a really interesting and hopeful point of view to hear, and to know that she travels around discussing this with people.
