You don't have to have sex to reproduce. You do need the sperm and egg, but not actual sexual contact. Some reproduction is um handled with the intervention of a third party.

The "reasoning" goes something like "Some people are born with a predisposition to be alcoholics. That doesn't mean they have to act on it."

Of course, homosexuals are not born with a predisposition to be homosexuals. They are born homosexuals. Hence, the quotation marks around "reasoning."

If there was a "gay" gene, Pat would be right, and it would certainly be bred out of existence within two or three generations. But the true genetic nature of homosexuality is much more complicated than that.
