Cops subdue killler pit bull, do not kill it

I am an animal lover, and this post is not to say that I wish cops would kill non-human animals - but it is to say - if they can subdue - not kill - a pit bull which has just mauled its owner to death -
why do they (cops) not have the skills to subdue an Black person they think is "threatening" without killing him?

...He was apparently mauled by “Fat Boy,” one of his pet pit bulls, according to the report. The dog was aggressively barking, growling and lunging at officers when they arrived at the house, and police had to use a stun gun and an animal control pole to get him under control and remove him from the home.

much like I saw our Houston animal control 'officer' chasing 2 stray pitt type dogs up our street with his pick-up truck. I opened my gate and both dogs went in my yard and had a big drink of water. I got my dog leashes and looped a 'collar' around each dog and walked them to his truck. The idiot had maced the dogs too and then followed in his truck.

Here in my area the dog catcher is a police officer and he's scared of dogs.

"the wife" might have been reluctant to have anything to do with the dog.

If the dogs you speak of had blood on their muzzles, would you have been so eager to let them in your yard?

One of the dogs was a very, large pure white 'pitty breed'..Because the officer had maced them his face and eyes were covered with bloody foam. Was a very hot Houston day, both dogs tongues were hanging out dripping with bloody foam. They weren't running fast just trotting, (over heated speed) towards home away from the macer.

probably if I hadn't opened my gate the dogs would have gone to their home with the brave officer following them in his truck. Officer did walk around my yard trying to catch them with his pole stick, but its a half acre yard so both dogs could easy evade him. I watched him for a while from inside could see his growing frustration, afraid he would shoot two dogs that were just trying to get away from him..I got 2 no slip leashes and called the dogs to come in. was easy to slip the leads on their heads as they wanted to come inside. I have a lot of hands on dog experience with hundreds of dogs.

8. I know. For many years we had a police officer 'dog catcher' who loved dogs.

That good officer would take the time to make friends with any stray. I wasn't afraid to call him if I found a stray because he knew where all the dogs came from.

Then this part of the city wanted their dog catcher to oversee the euthanasia of unclaimed dogs in the pound. A officer to be a hardass on fines like city dog license fees and hand out lots of tickets. The good officer quit a well paid, about 15 year? police position over that city police policy change.

Now we have a dog catcher police officer who doesn't like dogs at all and probably hands out plenty of tickets if he can see whos stray it is.

Also think it's OK for police to randomly kill Black people.

That kind of advocacy in favor of death generally goes hand-in-hand.

Tasers and other types of electric bang sticks are awful instruments of torture in some peoples hands.

There are lots of livestock handlers, trainers of animals and people/animal abusers who use these devices either to shortcut real training or outright torture animals/people.
