Bill de Blasio is the Mayor

Michael Bloomberg is not the mayor.

Rudy Giuliani is not the mayor.

Any New Yorker who has a problem with that is welcome to relocate to another community.

Any NYPD officer who has a problem with that is welcome to look elsewhere for employment.

I marched, protested, demonstrated, argued constantly against the Bush-Cheney presidency.

And I rejected the challenge by the warmongering Repuglicans that if I didn't like America, well, I ought to move somewhere else.

The 'love it or leave' response is illiberal, in my opinion.

Better to argue back with truth and logic.

Love it or leave it, is it?

Never thought I'd see the day that DU would demand rigid adherence and loyalty to a politician upon pain of unemployment.

Jawol mein herr!
